Being Human Episode 4

Tonight's the night we decide if this show is going to be something special.  Something beyond mid to late twenties angst.  Like I suspected last week, this is a fairly Josh (Werewolf) centric episode.  The episode opens with Josh running through the woods trying to find a place where he can change where he isn't surrounded by others, and when he finally finds a place he stumbles across a man named Ray.  Ray is there the very next morning when he wakes up, and it turns out this weird southern man is also a werewolf.

Rebecca has shown back up, feeling some sort of remorse for the murders she's committed as a new vampire.  She's tracked Aidan back down and wants to be a "good" vampire like him.  A lot of vampire shows and stories, especially more modern ones, tend to deal with a vampires blood lust as a type of drug addiction.  This episode does a good job of showing two characters trying to cope with their addiction, just to stay straight for a little while, getting past their struggles.

Sally's best friend Bridgette has come back into her ex-fiance's life.  Bridgette and Danny seem to like each other, they also seem to be interested in taking their relationship out of the friend zone and into the dating zone.  This is bad and good for Sally.  It gives her enough rage to pull a Patrick Swayze in Ghost and move some things.  Mallory thought Danny was a jerkface, not so much Bridgette.

For those of you who have the Shazam app you can use it during any point in the episode while it is playing and Shazam will pull up exclusive Being Human related content.  The cool part is that each week they add a playlist for all the songs featured in every episode up to that point.  Tonight the final song was by The Pack A.D. - "Wolves and Werewolves."  I'd never heard it before, but it had a nice Black Keys blues rock feel to it and I might try to find it on iTunes later.

Next week's episode looks like it is going to be a good one, and they are starting to advance the story beyond just character set up which is greatly appreciated by me.  We'll tune in again.
