LRFF2011 - 2 Films

As part of our partnering with the Little Rock Film Festival we've decided to let you know which films we're most excited about seeing at this year's festival.  So every few days leading up the festival we'll talk about two films we're interested in seeing.  Along with the other content we plan to bring you, including interviews with filmmakers and the people who put on the film festival, we hope this will help satiate your desires for the cinema that only the LRFF brings to Little Rock.

Fleur du Mal - Directed by David Dusa
Taking place in Paris in 2009 during the aftermath of the Iranian elections.  Probably the first film to fully showcase what it means to be a part of a social network connected world, two young people fall in love amidst a backdrop of fear and hope for the future.  A young girl escapes the riots in Tehran, only to constantly check her Twitter page for news of her friends fighting for you change, only to meet a young man who enjoys making dancing and parkour videos and putting them on YouTube.  It looks to be a very interesting film.  It premiered at last year's Cannes and just made its North American premiere at this year's Tribeca Film Festival in NYC

Going to Hell - Directed by Bruce Hutchinson
These days there are a lot of zombie films and it's expanding past it's own genre into comedies and classics such as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.  So it's hard to do something different with a zombie flick which is what these local filmmakers have done, making a suspenseful is he or isn't he film.  We don't want to tell you, but check out the trailer below.
