Wednesday's Little Rock Film Festival press conference brought more news than just their 2011 lineup (which promises to be amazing, by the way). We got to hear from a founder, a festival director, a long-time festival supporter and even a couple of local filmmakers. Announcements were made left and right, including that of an expansion to North Little Rock (thanks to the Argenta Community Theater), a new Local Film Scene blog (one stop shop for all things Arkansas film) and a few new sponsors (Stella, anyone?). We were there, camera and microphone in hand, and tracked down the answers to those burning questions we know are currently racing through your mind. Check out the video below!
Jack Lofton, LRFF Executive director and Brent Renaud, Festival Founder |
David Fowlkes, local filmmaker |
Warwick Sabin, publisher of the Oxford American |
Some of the films slated to show at this year's fest include the opening night film The Last Ride from Harry Thomason, the Sundance favorite Another Earth, and a film that made its North American premiere just last week at Tribeca Fleur de Mal (Flowers of Evil). Some of the shorts include the zombie film Going to Hell and the comedy Cotton County Boys.
The full feature and Arkansas made line up is after the break!
