In all seriousness, this is absolutely the simplest recipe ever to exist. It would probably fool even the savviest of breadmakers, and the ingredients are a bit of a shocker. Are you sitting down? To bake this very special homemade bread you'll need 1 c. self-rising flour, 1 pint of ice cream and...that's it. Allow me to walk you through the process.
UPDATE: I realized I didn't credit my very creative Aunt Beth for sharing this recipe! Thanks, Beth, for always having something new and fun at the holidays!
Like I said, 1 pint of ice cream and 1 cup self-rising flour. I chose Starbucks' Caramel Macchiato ice cream to give mine a slight coffee flavor. However I've had it made from butter pecan as well and the pecans added a nice crunch.
Soften the ice cream in the microwave. It takes less then a minute.
Combine the "wet ingredients" (the melted ice cream) with the cup of self-rising flour.
Pour the mixture into a loaf pan and slide it into the oven.
It only takes about 35 minutes in a 350 degree oven. You'll want to keep en eye on it though since ovens can vary a little.
Give it a few minutes to rest and cool off, then put it on a pretty plate for serving! I really hope everyone gets a chance to try this. You have to see it yourself to believe it!
